Emmy-nominated Music Supervisors Laura Webb and Lindsay Wolfington have over 20 years of experience each, shaping the soundtracks of some of the most beloved films and television series. Close friends and frequent collaborators, they bring their passion for music and storytelling to the Sad Song Queens podcast.
The duo earned the nickname “Sad Song Queens” from their loyal fans, who admire their talent for curating deeply emotional songs that resonate with audiences. Their expertise shines through their work on the To All the Boys trilogy—To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever —a Netflix sensation that captivated global viewers. Together, they’ve been nominated for an Emmy for their work on Monster High: The Movie and have been noted by Variety as “Music Supervisors to Watch” in 2021. They recently worked on the films Time Cut and Love at First Sight, and currently work together on the TV series XO Kitty, the film Jingle Bell Heist, and a slate of films set for release in 2025 through Ace Entertainment.
Laura Webb
Laura is known for her expertise in the hit series Teen Wolf, XO Kitty, The Lincoln Lawyer and has garnered ten Guild of Music Supervisor nominations and three wins for projects like the To All The Boys I Loved Before Trilogy. She is Emmy-nominated for her work on Monster High: The Movie. Her diverse portfolio includes Kung Fu, Siren, Henry Danger: The Movie, Wolf Pack, and more. Laura, an avid traveler, is passionate about discovering and sharing music from her global adventures.
Lindsay Wolfington
Lindsay is renowned for her work on shows like One Tree Hill, Virgin River, and the award-winning film Theater Camp. She has been nominated eleven times by the Guild of Music Supervisors for her work on projects such as XO Kitty, The Royals and The Sing Off, and recently won in 2024 for Theater Camp. She is Emmy-nominated for her work on Monster High: The Movie. Lindsay is the President of the Guild of Music Supervisors, teaches Music Supervision at USC, and has been featured speakers at international conferences, sharing her knowledge and insights with audiences around the world.
